the quote
Whatever you may do remember that you cannot escape the consequences of your actions (good or bad) committed in this life or in your past life.
This reminds me of the talk with my young son, while telling him Stories of Shirdi Sai Baba before sleeping. Sai Baba is a unique spiritual Master or spiritual Guru. His ways are unique. About the actions of ours Sai Baba had unique way of demonstrating them.
Once a lady devotee fed hungry dog and a pig. When she went for Sai Baba's hunger, Sai Baba with all His compassion told her that He was very happy that He was fed by her and His hunger appeased. The lady could not get the message and said that she herself was dependent for her food in Shirdi and she had not offered any food to Sai Baba that day.
Sai Baba told her that she did felt compassion for the hungry dog and the hungry pig. She fed them in spite of having trouble for getting her own food. Sai Baba said that the feeling of hunger is same in all humans and animals. One who appease the hunger really appease the hunger of Sai Baba, as He is one with every one. The hunger is the same. When we give relief to hunger in us or anybody else, we make the divine in them comfortable.
Similarly when somebody hurt any human or animal Sai Baba would tell him that He was hurt that day. Sai Baba even showed the marks of beating on His body when an animal like cat or horse had been beaten. This definately made a great impact on the devotees and they refrained from hurting anyone either by thought, word or deed.
Similarly all the pains and joys we come across are life are results of our own karma. Why would somebody born in a family struggling to get a morsel of food, while the other born with riches all around. Why somebody not much intelligent and compassionate lives a luxorious life with all the stupidity and some intelligent and compassionate ones suffers a lot. Life looks unintelligent and unorganized. In the higher sense it is not.
Everybody reaps their own karmas good or bad. So if we are getting through tough times it is better not to complain and
